Individual Report
In September until October 2012 at
Writing for Professional Purposes class, the presenting of advertisement was
done by all groups from my class. There were eleven groups. The groups were
divided into three discussions; printed ad, jingle, and video. My group was
chosen to present about print ad. However, my group chose to make video for our
project because, during regarding all presentations from my classmates and
absolutely from my group presentation, I paid attention to what my friends
explained and to what Ms. Fitria advised.
There
were two till three groups presenting their topic in a week. The first week of
presentation, discussing jingle, was interesting enough with many theories and
joking from Andika’s group singing the jingle with their own voice. One of the
theories, I got, was how to make a good jingle for advertisement. They said
that the repetition of the brand and the jingle was good for making it. The
second week of it was my group turn. It discussed about print ad. Many groups
talked about the types of print ad and its impact for advertisement. Presenting
video was the last presentation. There were three groups taking up that
subject. They explained much and gave a lot of examples entertaining us. The
explanation was so simple and easy to remember; in video, we will get both
jingle and printed ad. They meant that we can either see or listen to it.
Listening to the last group, my group and I were directly interested in making
video.
After
all groups presented the topic, Ms. Fitria got turn to advise our presentation
and present all topics we had. In fact, we had forgotten to explain about the
significant point in advertisement; Tag Line. None of us mentioned about it. In
addition, we were showed the good advertisement in her opinion so we had description
what we have to make. Paying attention to that, my group and I can decide what
we will choose to be submitted on 26th November 2012.
Finally,
my group made video advertisement. The product, Fever Choco, was produced by
our own concept, having Tag Line; Forever and Ever. There were many
difficulties in creating it. However, paying attention to every explanation
even from our friends could face it. Therefore, we can conclude that we have to
pay attention to what our friends explained and to what our lecturer’s advised.
